Prince William And Kate Middleton Buy Intricate Matrimonial Bed: Royal Couple Looking Forward To Have Another Baby Soon?

With their new home, it is only apt for the royal couple to buy a new piece of furniture which they consider close to their hearts. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge reportedly bought a new matrimonial bed with 4,200 springs.

However, the bed is not exactly new since it is the very same type of bed where Prince William and Duchess Catherine slept during their stay in their Angelesey farmhouse. Prior to moving to Kensington Palace, the two lived in a quaint cottage house during the prince's duty as a search and rescue pilot.

The bed is called 'Natural Choice' which can be purchased from 'Healthbeds', a specialty firm that's based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. David Smeaton, the firm's owner, describes the couple's fascination for the bed: "We got a call out of the blue from one of the Duchess's staff asking if we could provide one like the model they slept in. I think it's the first time the royals have bought or beds. The Duchess loved the bed so much, apparently she looked under the mattress to find a label to discover where it was made. We are thrilled to have royalty buying one of our beds."

The owner did not disclose the retail amount of the furnishing: "I couldn't possibly discuss the price but it's taken a lot of complex measuring to get it right. The idea is to make a very comfortable bed that minimizes allergy. It's an unusual order because the bed is bespoke and had to be enshrined in a four poster setting."

While insiders say that the new parents haven't spoken yet about the possibility of having a second child soon, the couple are surely excited to take care of Prince George with the people in the palace supporting them.

Will the bed similarly sell out just like Middleton's dress in the royal baby portrait?
