Nexus 5 Release Date Set For October 30; Next-Gen Google Smartphone Gets 4 GB RAM And First Device To Use 8 MP MEMS Camera Sensor

Rumors are rife regarding Nexus 5 release date.

It is expected that the Nexus 5 release date will happen this October, alongside other new products from Google like its next-generation tablet, the Nexus 10 2, and the latest iteration of its mobile operating system, the Android 4.4 KitKat.

One of the recent Nexus 5 release date rumors is suggesting that the Google device will be available by the end of the month. As reported by International Business Times, citing AndroidSaS, Nexus 5 release date is set for October 30, supporting reports about the new smartphone schedule for shipment during the last week of October.

Aside from a number of reports pertaining to possible Nexus 5 release date, there are also huge talks about the alleged specs of the upcoming Google phone. Reportedly, one of the strong features it will offer is its powerful processor, which, allegedly, will match the iPhone 5S, as the Nexus 5 will have something similar to 64-bit A7 processor of the latest iPhone. Moreover, there are also Nexus 5 specs rumors suggesting that the device will be equipped with 4 GB RAM and not 3 GB, as stated on previous reports.

Moreover, Nexus 5 is also reported to be the first mobile device to feature microelectromechanical system (MEMS) camera sensor. The Google Nexus 5 is said to be packed with an 8 MP MEMS camera which is manufactured by Digital Optics. As described by IB TIimes, "The MEMS camera is without backside illumination (BSI) sensor, f/2.4 relative aperture and the sensor size is 1/3.2." Furthermore, "The MEMS camera sensor can focus seven times faster than current cameras and can capture multiple images extremely fast"

Google is yet to make an official announcement regarding Nexus 5 release date. But until the internet giant confirms or deny alleged details about the device, tech fans can expect even more Nexus 5 release date and specs rumors to emerge online.
