Install Official Android 4.3.1 Jelly Bean Update On Nexus 7 LTE; Software Build JLS36I Rolls Out

Owners of Nexus 7 LTE can now install the official Android 4.3.1 Jelly Bean update.

Despite the imminent arrival of Google's newest mobile operating system, the Android 4.4 KitKat, the internet search giant is rolling out a new and official Android 4.3.1 Jelly Bean update, as reported by Gotta Be Mobile. However, the firmware update quietly arrives and it may only be available to Nexus 7 LTE.

Though there are only a few weeks left before the arrival of Android 4.4 KitKat, those who are interested to get the Android 4.3.1 Jelly Bean update can still do so. However, as aforementioned, the official Android 4.3.1 Jelly Bean update with firmware build number JLS36I is only available for Nexus 7 LTE variant.

Meanwhile, it is still not clear what changes the official Android 4.3.1 Jelly Bean update brings, but it is most probably just a small bug fix. Moreover, there is no confirmation yet whether the official Android 4.3.1 Jelly Bean update will arrive to other Nexus devices such as the Nexus 7 Wi-fi only, but with Android 4.4 already on the horizon, it seems unlikely. The firmware update most probably provides a specific bug fix or tweak to Nexus 7 LTE.

It is expected that the Android 4.4 KitKat will arrive to replace the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean this month. Android 4.4 release date rumors are suggesting that the software may most likely be available on the October 31, alongside other products such as the Nexus 5 and the Asus-manufactured Google Nexus 10.

Reportedly, the Android 4.4 KitKat will give incremental modifications to user interface and offer a new Payments option that can be found in Settings. Moreover, Android 4.4 Kitkat is expected to set few changes to the camera app.
