Identify Of Apple iPhone Siri Voice Revealed: Experts Confirm Authenticity, Apple Inc. Refuses To Comment

The Apple iPhone Siri voice belongs to a real life woman from Atlanta, Susan Bennett. The revelation came early on October 4, 2013 after Susan Bennett decided to come out as the Siri voice assistant.

Apple Inc. has declined to comment on the issue, however, an audio forensic expert, GM Voices' CEO Marcus Graham and other people associated with Susan Bennett have confirmed that she is the voice of Siri.

Susan has been working as a voice over artist since 1970s and in 2005 had provided her voice recordings for speech construction for a new project through GM Voices. Little did she know then that her vocal cord vibrations would be felt around the globe, especially in the US.

Apple iPhone 4S, launched in October 2011, featured Siri voice assistant app for the first time. Susan Bennett did not own an iPhone at that time; she came to know of her Siri sibling when a colleague emailed her, 'Hey, we've been playing around with this new Apple phone. Isn't this you?'

Susan heard the the voice of Siri over the YouTube and instantly knew that it 'unmistakably' her voice. Until today, she did not feel the need to reveal her identity.

""I really had to weigh the importance of it for me personally. I wasn't sure that I wanted that notoriety, and I also wasn't sure where I stood legally. And so, consequently, I was very conservative about it for a long time," she said

The revelation happened accidently when the CNN correspondent interviewing her over the telephone asked her, '"Hey, are you Siri?" It was an epiphany like a 'Eureka moment' or maybe she just connected the dots.

After Apple declined to confirm or comment on the matter, the Siri technology provider Nuance Communications (formerly ScanSoft that contracted Susan 'Siri' Bennett's voice in 2005) was approached for verification. In its response, the company said, "As a company, we don't comment on Apple."

Forensic expert Ed Primeau said after analyzing Siri's voice against Bennett, "They are identical -- a 100% match."
