Game of Thrones Actress Lena Headey will star in a movie adaptation of horror legend Clive Barker's short story Jacqueline Ess: Her Will and Testament.

Cersei Lannister from "Game of Thrones," Lena Headey is set to star in a film adaptation of Clive Barker's Jacqueline Ess.

Lena Headey will play Jacqueline Ess, a housewife who gets so bored with life she attempts suicide. According to Variety Ess is "a woman who, in her thirst for change, achieves the ability to transform people's bodies at will."
Jacqueline Ess will be directed by Jovanka Vukovic, who said in a statement. "I have coveted Jacqueline Ess for many years. And for as many years, I have imagined Lena Headey in the role," said Vuckovic in a statement to the press. "I am absolutely thrilled that she and I will be teaming up to bring Clive's phantasmagoric, feminist body horror story to life onscreen."

"Jacqueline Ess" was part of Barker's Books of Blood anthologies. The movies "Lord of Illusions" and "Candyman" also originated in the Books of Blood.

Vukovic co-wrote the screenplay with Christian Francis and will co-produce the movie with Headey. Vuckovic's co-wrote "Zombies! An illustrated History of the Undead" with "Dawn of the Dead" director George A. Romero. Vukovic brought us the all-female horror anthology XX and directed the short film The Captured Bird, which was executive produced by Guillermo del Toro.

Clive Barker, who is executive producing, said "Lena Headey is a marvelous performer with an incredible presence. As far as I'm concerned, there is no better choice of actress for the role of Jacqueline. Her beauty and authority will carry the day."

Lena Headey most starred recently in Warner Bros.' 300: Rise of an Empire, but is probably best known for playing Sarah Connor on
Fox's television series based on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. She also played the drug lord Ma-Ma in Dredd, the Judge Dredd reboot from 2012.
