Top Android Games 2014: Rovio Leaves Angry Birds For A While, Makes Flappy Bird-Inspired 'Retry', Would Make You Want To Throw Your Phone

Top Android games 2014: Are you a fan of Rovio games but have gone sick and tired of all their attempts to revive the Angry Birds franchise? If you are then you will surely be happy to know that the top game developer has been working on a new game that is inspired by the legendary Flappy Bird.

Well, it is not a mere clone of the pathetic bird so no need to worry. Rovio has included other game aspects and fun features that would separate it from the shadow of its inspiration.

Named Retry, the game will fittingly let that word sink into your head. Instead of a bird, you are given command of a plane that should go through obstacles, while avoiding walls at all costs.

Unlike Flappy, this plane can move around in circles, in order to avoid various obstacles. Players also have the option to accelerate or decelerate just in the nick of time.

Another good feature that Rovio has included is game progression, where people would get a feel that they are moving forward into another level. Once the plane has acquired enough coins or whatever it is to gather, it can land safely at an airfield and finish that particular stage.

That means, in a way, this Retry game still gets some features from the famous classic Angry Birds game. A couple of years ago, the Angry Birds franchise became a bit hit, thanks to real physics shooting, challenging levels and fun graphics.

Unfortunately, Rovio's exciting reflex game has only gone live in a handful of countries such as Canada and Poland. There is still no word whether it would arrive in other Google Play Stores around the world. But once it does, expect Retry to be free to download and play, with an option for in-app purchases.
