LG G3 Release Date, Specs Highlighted In Trio Promo Clips, New Flagship Device Flaunts Brushed Metal Finish, 13MP With OIS And Laser-Focus Tech

LG G3 release date, specs: LG really wants to aim for the top of the Android competition for its upcoming flagship. Several days before it is officially launched, the LG G3 appears in three promo videos, each focusing on a key feature that will leave LG and Android fans drooling.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Korean manufacturer itself released the promo clips which showcased the smartphone's design, display and camera.

As for the first clip, we get to see the LG G3's premium version that packs a brushed metal finish, which is unlike anything we have seen from LG thus far. And we are not complaining about it, in any way.

The metal back looks gorgeous enough to compel some consumers to buy the smartphone even before they get a glimpse of the specs. But those details are still impressive by today's standards.

While LG has not made any official announcements of the device, we may assume that the Korean manufacturer will announce two LG G3 devices, one which rivals current flagships - HTC One M8, Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z2, and one that would outlast them all, that is before any manufacturer unleashes its 'Prime' smartphones.

The second clip is supposed to show the OIS powered 13MP snapper on board the G3. Aside from the high quality images, the accompanying laser sensor would help the camera shoot better images at night, as well as improve focus times.

As for the last clip, it tells us about the LG G3's 5.5-inch display, which packs whopping QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution. Surely, viewing clips, playing games and doing other stuff using this device would be amazing.

In case you are still wondering, other specs of the upcoming Android device include a 3GB RAM, a quad-core CPU running at 2.5GHz, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, and Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box.

The LG G3's official unveiling would be on May 27.

Here are the three clips:
