After the Microsoft BUILD event last April, analysts and experts are expecting a large number of upcoming Windows Phones in 2014. But that's not just because of the vast improvements seen in Windows Phone 8.1, but the fact that Microsoft made all Windows devices free, as long as they're below 9 inches. 

And so during the annual Computex event in Taiwan, several Chinese manufacturers unleashed their respective versions of the Windows Phone 8.1 platform. 

According to the report by GSM Arena, Blu paved the way with its unannounced Windows Phone which packs a 5-inch display. The device has already appeared in several promo images as well as the manufacturer's Facebook page. We'll bring the official device name once it has been revealed. 

Meanwhile, Prestigio also showcased its own WP-powered devices, dubbed as the MultiPhone 8500 DUO and 8400 DUO respectively. The two devices share specs in some areas namely the Snapdragon 400 chipset, quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, Adreno 305 GPU and dual-SIM compatibility. 

However, the 8500 DUO has slightly better specs with its 5-inch 720p display, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2MP front cam. The 8400 DUO on the other hand, has a 4-inch WVGA display, 8MP camera at the back and VGA front cam. 

Lastly is the Billy by Yezz. Yes, it was named after Bill Gates, and it is already in the market for a while now according to the GSM Arena report. The device boasts a 4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720) display, quad-core CPU, and a 13MP camera at €229. It has a smaller sibling that has a 4-inch display and costs €129. 

Windows Phone is slowly becoming more popular even among Chinese and other Asian manufacturers due to their value for money. As long as Microsoft keeps on improving and upgrading the Windows Phone experience, expect the mobile platform to do better against Android and iOS.
