Top Android Games 2014: New Angry Birds 'Stella' Arriving This Fall, Gets An All Female Cast - Still Up Against Green Pigs

There have been a number of memorable games through the years which most people still play today, but if you are on the lookout for top Android games this 2014, then Rovio is not done yet.

For weeks, several teased images have been released by the game developer to pique the interest of fans for the latest installment of the Angry Birds franchise.

Dubbed as Angry Birds 'Stella', the game has been pretty mysterious until today where Rovio released a gameplay image.

As we all can see from the image, Angry Birds Stella will retain the classic slingshot gameplay from the original Angry Birds game. However, this time the entire protagonist cast is made up of female birds, led by Stela.

Other members of the cast resemble characters from the 'all male' version, though we still cannot be sure whether there are twists in the skills of each character.

However, while the leading characters were all revamped, they are still up against the old green piggies.

So what separates this Angry Birds game from previous Angry Birds titles released in the past? Well, it does have a unique storyline which feature new characters. In addition, the graphics have been improved, which would be a great to watch from a decent-spec'd smartphone.

For the past three years, Rovio has been among the top game developers for both Android and iOS. After releasing several film-based versions of Angry Birds, the developer tried to dip its hands on literally everything else.

There came the ultra-difficult Bad Piggies which brings physics gaming to a whole new level, The developer also launched Angry Birds Go which resemble that of Mario Kart and other similar racing games which aim to bring the beloved birds behind the wheel.

Then finally, Rovio announced Angry Birds epic, which should be one of its most ambitious takes on the franchise where it created an RPG based on the characters skills and qualities.

But after all that, Rovio decided to return to the classic slingshot shooter, with a slight change in gameplay. Do you think Rovio is running out of ideas?
