Doctor Who Season 8: Clara Takes The Sonic Screwdriver As Colin Baker Confirms 50th Anniversary Box Set

As Whovians eagerly await "Doctor Who" season 8, we have some hints to what we may see in the Peter Capaldi era.

"Doctor Who" season 8 will feature Jenna Coleman returning as Clara, Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, and Samuel Anderson as Danny Pink as a new potential companion.

Recently, set photos emerged for "Doctor Who" season 8. According to Doctor Who TV, filming is now on to episode 9, with Douglas Mackinnon directing. The rumored episode title is "Flatline," and features guest stars Christopher Fairbank, Joivan Wade, and Matt Bardock. By the looks of their costumes, they appear to be characters doing community service.

Reportedly, filming took place in Bristol and Cardiff. In one particular set photo, we see Clara holding the Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver!

"Clara investigating on her own reminds me a lot of Sarah Jane..." wrote WhoPotterVian on DoctorWhoTV.

"It's interesting how tight lipped they've been about this episode (lack of cast announcements, nor writer)," commented Planet of the Deaf," and indeed this particular block of filming. Clearly there's something major they want to keep secret..."

" Danny Pink hasn't been seen for months, maybe there's another episode being filmed at the same time involving him and the Doctor?"

There are lot of rumors swirling around the finale few episodes of "Doctor Who" season 8, so stay tuned!

Meanwhile, former Doctor Colin Baker has confirmed that there may be a "Doctor Who" 50th Anniversary box set coming out.

Reportedly, Baker confirmed that the 50th anniversary spoof "The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot" will be heading to DVD, and most likely it will be part of the DVD set which will include "The Night of the Doctor," "The Day of the Doctor," and "The Time of the Doctor."

A release date has not been confirmed for this release yet.
