Owners of Nexus 4 can now install official Android 4.4.3 KitKat update.

As posted on Android Geeks, Google has recently released the official Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for the 2012 flagship smartphone. Accordingly, Nexus 4 users around the world can now receive and install the official Android 4.4.3 KitKat update via Over-the-Air or OTA upgrade process.

The post also noted that an "Update zip" file for "adb sideloading" is also available for download.

The official Android 4.4.3 KitKat firmware for Nexus 4 comes with build number KTU84L. The update only brings in bug fixes and minor tweaks. As reported on International Business Times, Android 4.4.3 KitKat update addresses the issues with "Bluetooth functionality from overexposure to BLE devices, other less-specific Bluetooth issues, popping sounds in flac audio files, bad VPN routing and issues with background services."

Meanwhile, the only remarkable change noticed after updating the Nexus 4 with Android 4.4.3 KitKat was the partially redesigned Dialer app.

With this, Nexus 4 owners who wish to install official Android 4.4.3 KitKat update should not expect any significant design changes and new features from the firmware.

Nexus 4 owners planning to install Android 4.4.3 KitKat update on their smartphone but haven't received the OTA notification can opt for the manual installation process. But before doing so, they have to make sure first that the Google smartphone is currently running on Android 4.4.2 KOT49H, otherwise, the installation process will fail.

The battery level of the Nexus 4 should be 80 percent or more. Also, the USB Debugging Mode of the device should be enabled.

Also, the data and settings stored on the Nexus 4 should have a proper backup.

Read this IB Times post to get the download links of the necessary files and learn the detailed process on how to manually install the official Android 4.4.3 KitKat update on Nexus 4.
