Samsung Galaxy S5 Vs. iPhone 6 Specs: Korean Company Will Cut Orders As People Begin Anticipation For 4.7" And 5.5" Apple Smartphones

During its first days after launch, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is certainly the best Android phone in the market and it showed. Reports claim that the Samsung flagship shipped millions of smartphones in its first several days, disproving the assumption that it won't do well because of its 'dot matrix' design.

However, in the following weeks, the Samsung flagship immediately faced competition when the Oppo Find 7, HTC One M8, and the OnePlus One were all launched and became available, except the latter.

Just this month, the Samsung Galaxy S5 faced yet another rival in the newly announced LG G3. In fact, in recent reports by GSM Arena, the LG G3 has surpassed the Galaxy S5's sales in its homeland in Korea, where it already logged 100,000 sold units in just 5 days.

This week, we were given a glimpse of how the new iPhone 6 would work, thanks to the launch of iOS 8 and its unique features.

So the question now is: can the Samsung Galaxy S5 take on the new Apple smartphone if it were to launch today?

We obviously do not know the answer to that, though in a recent report, the Korean company will reportedly cut down its orders from manufacturers by up to 25% of the total shipments during the third quarter this year.

If you haven't figured out why, that is because the new iPhone 6 is set to launch in September. A new iPhone is something to be afraid of if you are in the smartphone competition, but if that particular iPhone packs a much larger display at 4.7 and 5.5 inches respectively, then you better be prepared for the worst.

Earlier this week, Foxconn confirmed in a press release that it will be working on Apple's 4.7 iPhone 6 starting in July while the 5.5 version gets its treatment in August and September.

For Samsung, and other Android OEMs, they better brace themselves as Apple formally joins the big smartphone club.
