Angels vs White Sox live stream 10:10 ET Friday as LAA welcomes Chicago into Anaheim for the start of a three-game series.

"He's pretty nice to have in the lineup," manager Robin Ventura told the team's official website about Abreu's return from the disabled list. "The last couple of nights are the reason why. He just makes us a little more dangerous when he's in the lineup. You're able to score some runs that you wouldn't if he isn't in there."

Weaver (6-4, 3.33 ERA) is supposed to be the Angels' ace and he's pitching like it lately. From April 18 to May 21,  he has gone 5-1 with a 1.70 ERA. But in his last two starts, Weaver has given up three runs in six innings against the Mariners and six runs (five earned) in six innings against the A's, according to mLB.com.

Los Angeles split a four-game set with the Mariners, were swept by the Athletics, and lost two of three to Houston.

"With the day off [Monday], this seems like we've been out for a month," Scioscia said. "It's crazy. It's part of the inefficiency of the schedule. I don't think anyone minds three-city trips, but you should be able to get in and out in nine days. We haven't been able to do that."

Pain-free after the game, Mike Trout expects to return to his usual outfield spot Friday for the Angels, according to ESPN.com.

"It never tightened up, nothing," he said. "I didn't feel really anything. I stretched it really well between at-bats but I think running around in center field will keep it loose, too."
