Asus Transformer Book T200TA Launched At Computex; Specs Of Windows 8.1 2-In-1 Tablet Incl. 11.6-inch Display, Quad-Core Bay Trail Processors, 2GB RAM

Asus Transformer Book T200TA is a new addition to the range of Asus computers available in the market today. The unit was launched at the Computex Tradeshow in Taiwan last week.

Specs of the 2-in-1 tablet include an 11.6-inch display, an Intel Atom Z3775 quad-core Bay Trail processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB to 64GB built-in storage, with microSD support. The new Asus device runs on Windows 8.1

The overall look and display of the tablet mirrors the look of the Asus Transformer Book T100. The T200TA’s screen has a 1366 x 1768 pixel display, micro HDMI and micro USB ports, a headset jack, and a 5MP camera. The unit is packed with a 38Whr battery.

As for the keyboard section of the Asus Transformer Book T200TA, it doesn’t have its own battery, but provide a full-sized USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports plus an Ethernet jack. Some models of the unit also have a 500GB hard drive in the keyboard dock.

Prices for the Asus Transformer Book T200TA is expected to hover around $500.00.

The new 2-in-1 tablet is arriving from the heels of a well-received unveiling of the Asus Transformer Book T100A. The unit has been praised for its portability and budget-friendly price tag.

The Asus Transformer Book T200TA has already shown up in some sites, indicating that it shouldn’t be long before the tablet becomes available everywhere else.

Asus has made great in-roads in the tablet market, offering these devices on very competitive price. The company is the world’s fifth-largest PC vendor based on 2013 unit sales, right after Lenovo, HP, Dell and Acer. It has a total brand value of $1.3 billion.
