New Samsung Tablets 2014: Galaxy Tab S Leaks In Alleged Press Image, Gets QHD Display, 3GB RAM, Octa-Core CPU

Samsung may be the top Android tablet producer in the market, but it looks like the Korean company still wants to add new Samsung tablets to its lineup of devices for 2014.

And in a new leaked press image, the device will be named the Galaxy Tab S.

According to a report by GSM Arena, SamMobile has done it again and has managed to leak the press and promo images of the upcoming Android tablet even before it gets announced on June 14.

In addition to the leaked images, SamMobile was also able to get its hands on what it claims to be the official specifications list of the Android device.

In the report, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S is said to pack a QHD or 2K (2560 x 1600) Super AMOLED display, a 3GB RAM, an Exynos 5240 processor, and octa-core CPU.

Also on board the tablet is an 8-megapixel shooter at the back, and a 2.1MP front facing camera. Also on board is 32GB of built in memory, but if that is still not enough, you get a microSD card for storage expansion.

The Android slate will run on Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box and should be available by the end of the month. As you can see from the design, the Samsung tablet is impressively thin, measuring only 6.6mm thin.

For now, that is all there is about the Galaxy Tab S slate from Samsung, and we expect it to be priced on the higher end of the spectrum.

We will see on June 14 whether all of these rumored specs are true or not.  For the past couple of years, the Korean tech giant has been doing whatever it takes to take over the tablet market not only against other Android device makers, but even against iOS and Windows slates.
