HTC One M8 With Dual-SIM With Removable Back Allegedly Gets Approved In Russian Website, Could Debut Sooner Than Later

Announced back in March, the HTC One M8 is undeniably among the top 10 smartphones currently available in the market today. And while the Android phone does bring a few disappointments, it more than makes up for it with sheer beauty and power.

And if you were one of those people who cringed when you heard that the HTC flagship would not get a removable cover, then a listing on a Russian website allegedly certifies an HTC One M8 with such feature.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Russian Federal Communication Industry or ROSCOM (the equivalent of the US FCC in Russia) has recently approved a version of the HTC One M8 which would soon arrive in the country.

In the report, the One M8 variant appears in a listing and says that it will have a removable back. The report immediately considers it to be a typographical error, though there is still possibility that it isn't.

In addition, the device would get dual-SIM support which was already mentioned by HTC's VP in Russia, Andrey Kormiltsev in  a press event in April. However, even HTC was not then sure whether to give the smartphone a go.

The dual-SIM compatibility adds another star to the One M8's already impressive spec sheet. The Android-powered handset packs a 5-inch display with Full HD (1080p) resolution, a quad-core CPU running at 2.3GHz, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of memory.

Also on board is the Duo Camera of 4MP UltraPixel shooters at the back, and a 5MP snapper in front. In addition, the HTC One M8 gets either a 16GB or 32GB of built in memory with option for expansion through the microSD card slot.

Now that the HTC One M8 dual-SIM has been certified it will only take a short time for it to be officially unveiled in Russia.
