Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick will reunite on Broadway ... again. The pair will star with Oscar winner F. Murray Abraham and Tony winner Stockard Channing and Broadway newcomer Micah Stock in a newly revised version of Terrence McNally's "It's Only a Play."

Lane and Broderick are probably best known for their Broadway musical reworking of Mel Brooks' movie "The Producers." But the pair who also starred together in the film "The Lion King" are set to return to the stage with a revival of the play "It's Only a Play." It was previously announced that Emmy winner Megan Mullally would be joining the cst.

Megan Mullally, from TV's "Will & Grace" and Nick Offerman from "Parks and Recreation" appered on Late Night With Seth Meyers on June 2. Mullally announced "I'm coming back to do a play on Broadway, a comedy by Terrence McNally called It's Only a Play."

The play will be directed by Jack O'Brien. "It's Only a Play" is a about a playwright sweating out an opening night party at his producer's house while waiting to see if the play they are celebrating will be a hit.

F. Murray Abraham won an Oscar for his portrayal of Salieri in the movie version of Amadeus. The role was originated on stage by Tim Curry.  Abraham most recently appeared on Broadway in "Mauritius." He was in the plays  "Triumph of Love," "A Month in the Country," "Angels in America" and "Macbeth." Channing won a Tony award for her role in  the play "Joe Egg." She was nominated for her performances in "Other Desert Cities," "Pal Joey," "The Lion in Winter," "Four Baboons Adoring the Sun," "Six Degrees of Separation" and "The House of Blue Leaves."

The last time we saw Lane and Broderick together on Broadway was in the revival of "The Odd Couple." Matthew and Nathan switched roles night after night. Sometimes fussy Felix Unger and sometimes sloppy Oscar Madison.

Nathan Lane most recently starred in Douglas Carter Beane's "The Nance." Lane was nominated for a Best Actor Tony in 2013 for huis role. Broderick was last seen on Broadway in "Nice Work If You Can Get It."

Broderick will play the anxious playwright, Lane plays his friend who left theater for television. Mullally plays the producer and Stockard Channing plays the star of the new show. F. Murray Abraham plays a drama critic. Micah Stock plays a coat check attendant. The play has yet to announce other roles.
