Pretty Little Liars Season 5 Spoilers: Gay Male Character Being Considered For 5B, Time Jump Past College, And A 'Significant' Death

As fans prepare for the "Pretty Little Liars" season 5 premiere, spoilers regarding the future of the series have surfaced after a Reddit AMA with executive producer Marlene King.

According to TVLine, the Reddit AMA proved very insightful for "Pretty Little Liars" fans, and here are several reasons why.

For one, the "Pretty Little Liars" season 5 premiere will tackle several big reveals, including the identity of Detective Wilden's killer. In the premiere, spoilers also confirm that the identity of 'A' will be revealed to certain characters.

Unfortunately, the audience will only be given clues to the identity of 'A', even though several characters will discover the truth in season 5. Perhaps due to this growing concern with 'A,' King says a "significant" death is coming.

What other storylines and spoilers does Marlene King have to offer?

In addition to Caleb's return during the 100th episode, Shane Coffey's Holden will return to Rosewood this season. And although "Ravenswood" is canceled, "There may be a 'Ravenswood" episode in "Pretty Little Liars" season 5B.

Spoilers also confirm that "Pretty Little Liars" season 5B might introduce the show's first gay male character, which should juxtapose the female same-sex storylines being drawn up between Alison, Paige, and Emily.

Reportedly, Alison's sexuality will be addressed in season 5, and her history with Paige will be revealed in an "emotional" storyline. Yet despite all the "Emison" fans out there, King affirms there is still hope for Emily and Paige.

Perhaps the most shocking spoiler is that a time jump is in the horizon as the end of the series draws near.

“There will be a time jump,” King says. “It may be on the TV show, or the movies we are starting to talk about, but there will be a time jump. We will ‘jump’ college.”
