Samsung Galaxy Premier 2014 update: The South Korea tech giant is making its presence felt in New York City on Thursday at its “Galaxy Premier” event at Madison Square Garden, where it’s expected to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5.

Phandroid notes that the South Korean tech giant isn’t exactly saying what they will unveil on the video but many are expecting that they would be unveiling the Samsung earlier mentioned Samsung tablets. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is the first product from the company to feature the best display technology on the market – Samsung’s Super AMOLED display. A report by TechRadar U.K. said that the Tab S 10.5 is reported to be thinner than the iPad Air.

The event promoted on the 33-second video will be streamed live at 7 PM EDT and according to Phandroid, leaked reports suggest that the new tablets could be available as soon as June 27th at selected retailers. The anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is not expected to be unveiled at the event.

There have also been reports that a 2014 version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 maybe unveiled at the event, but it is unlikely. It’s possible, however, that the Note 8 will be updated at some point this year. The phablet has been a well-received product and continues to gain a following in the market.

Other must-see tech events this month also include the Google I/O conference, which will be held from June 25-26, 2014. Apple has concluded its WWDC conference where we saw it launch its first product for the home automation market, amongst others.
