"Castle" season 7 spoilers are here and the change in showrunner duties won't have any effect on the series as Senator Bracken might or might not be returning to plot his revenge.

Matt Webb Mitovich of TVLine revealed some "Castle" season 7 spoilers in answer to a reader's question on whether Andrew Marlowe handing over the reins of executive producer duties to somebody else will also change the tone of the show.

 "In a word, nope. Everything I am hearing from well-placed sources indicates that while David Amann will be taking over the day-to-day running of the show, the vision very much remains that of series creator Andrew W. Marlowe," he said.

Andrew Marlowe also dished out "Castle" season 7 spoilers to the same website when he said that the Senator Bracken storyline "is pretty much over."

"We know who [killed Johanna], Beckett has gotten juctice. If there is any future storytelling with Senator Brecken, it would be breaking new ground and not going back to revisit the old ghosts," he said.

However, the showrunner acknowledged that Senator Bracken is not yet dead, which means that "he may someday entertain notions for revenge but it would be [in the context of] storytelling that moves us forward."

When "Castle" season 7 returns, the first episode will immediately take off where the season 6 finale ended.

According to Cartermatt, this decision is a slight departure from most TV shows where in between season, there's a jump in the timeline.

"This certainly makes the premiere potentially all the more exciting, with one of the questions being if and when Rick is rescued, will he and Beckett still have the wedding that they were hoping for ... or a wedding at all?"

The website also said that diving right into where it left off will provide the viewers the satisfaction of immediately knowing who the "mystery captors are, what they want, and how they will impact the show moving forward."
