Courteney Cox’s Ex, David Arquette, Engaged; David Arquette Pops The Question to Christina McLarty in Romantic Dinner at Sunset

Friends star Courteney Cox's ex-husband David Arquette is engaged to Christina McLarty. David Arquette proposed to Christina McLarty, his entertainment reporter girlfriend, during a family dinner with their 2-month-old son, Charlie West, and the "Scream" actor's daughter, Coco, in Malibu.

A spokesman for David Arquette confirmed that David Arquette and Christina McLarty are now engaged, two months after welcoming their first child together.

David Arquette's proposal comes a week after his ex-wife, Courteney Cox, announced that she was engaged to her boyfriend Johnny McDaid.

Arquette popped the question to McLarty at Mastro's Ocean Club in Malibu, Calif. Arquett asked McLarty to marry him in a romantic setting, at sunset in Malibu.

People.com quoted a source saying "He wanted his family to be with him when he did it. ...they are going to vacation in Aspen to celebrate."

Arquette and McLarty have been linked romantically since 2011.  On April 28, the couple had a son, Charlie West.

Courteney Cox and Arquette were married for 11 years. The couple have a 10-year-old daughter together, named Coco. Cox and Arquette officially divorced in May 2013. They have stayed on good terms since breaking up.

Earlier this year, Arquette opened up to PEOPLE about fatherhood and the impending arrival of his first child with McLarty, a former reporter for Entertainment Tonight.
