Motoroloa Moto X+1 Release Date And Leaked Pictures: New Impact Absorbing Case And 400 Dollar Price Tag [PHOTO]

Motorola's Moto X+1 (aka Moto X2) was expected to have a May release date, but the phone was not released leaving consumers to ask why. An image has leaked of the Moto X+1, that includes an Incipio casing which Verizon will promote as a major differentiator.

The leaked information is courtesy of tipster @evleaks. The image shows a rigid shell of Plextonium polycarbonate, that comes along with an impact-absorbing inner core that gives the device greater durability.

The @evleaks website containing the leaked casing image reveals an unobtrusive cover that does not give bulk to the phone. @evleaks also suggested it will come in four leather options for the rear part - red, blue, grey and black.

Motorola, which Lenovo recently bought from Google, is reported to release the Moto X+1, which is rumored to come with a 1920 X 1080 full HD AMOLED display panel, 2GB RAM, microSD card support and a more enhanced camera.

The device mill likely come in 16GB, 32GB or 64GB internal storage variants. Moto X, the predecessor of Moto X+1, was well received last year and got many positive reviews. However, its sales were less than impressive.

The Moto X+1 will not be a budget phone, and is expected to be priced around $400. The price estimate comes from an unfinished product page at AT&T, but that could also be just a placeholder.

Motorola said at the MWC 2014 that the next Moto X will be released late summer, and the leaked photos suggest Moto X+1, aka Moto X2, is already set for launch.
