LeBron James News: Phoenix Proposes LBJ/Melo Or LBJ/Bosh, NBA Finals 2014 Could Be The Last Game Of Heat's Big 3 Together?

For the past few days, all of the LeBron James news revolve around Decision 2.0 - which is defined as the reigning MVP's team of choice for the NBA 2014-15 season and onwards.

For days, it was widely believed throughout the NBA that James opted out of his contract in Miami because he wants the Heat to rebuild and then he'll eventually return before the deadline.

However, in a report by Bleacher Report, it looks like almost everyone got confused, even his teammates Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, who both opted out of their contracts thinking that all three of them will surely return to Miami before free agency ends.

It appears that what was clear as far as James is concerned, is that he wants a maximum-level salary. As to which team would offer it, is not yet decided.

In the report, several teams such as the Cavaliers, Mavericks and Rockets have already met with James' agent Richie Paul who is based in Cleveland.

As for the Suns, team owner Robert Sarver has laid out a possible Melo/LeBron or LeBron/Bosh duo in Phoenix.

'Finalist' teams will be met by James himself in the coming days so he can decide which team to play.

In case the four-time MVP decides to leave Miami, then the past NBA Finals should be the last time we see Bosh, Wade and James play together.

As for the two players, it is still unclear whether they will stay in Miami if James decides to go. In this worst case scenario, the only thing that could make it work is if they get a decent point guard and land Carmelo Anthony to fill up the gaping hole that James will leave behind.

Unfortunately, it looks like the Heat are not in direct pursuit of Melo, so that second portion may not come into fruition. The best the Heat can hope for in such a situation is to keep both Bosh and Wade and prepare for another quality free agent next year.
