iPhone 6 Release Date Draws Near As Smartphone's Screen Leaks

Since the iPhone 5s was announced, rumors and speculations about the iPhone 6 release date have immediately surfaced and until now those rumors are still making the rounds all over the Internet.

Now that Apple's WWDC event is over where it focused on the iOS 8, and some new functions it will bring, it is just fitting that we shift our focus back to iPhone 6 rumors once more.

According to a new report by GSM Arena, the screen panel of the new iPhone have been spotted online, and was even compared to the current panel of the iPhone 5s.

In the leaked images, the iPhone 6's screen is more rounded on the edges which would make it 'blend' better with the rounded frame of the new smartphone. The shape of the phone itself is actually a departure from what we have been accustomed so far - that is if the Cupertino manufacturer would indeed give it an iPod Touch-like feel and design.

From what we know about the upcoming device, it will sport a thinner screen due to the sapphire which was used for the display's production.

There are also reports that there would be on-cell sensors for the display, which cuts the added layer which is common among smartphones today.

As a result, the upcoming Apple handset is expected to be much thinner than its predecessors, but it would be built cheaper. That is one reason why the slated price for the new iPhone is the same as the pricing for the iPhone 5s, in spite the newer version getting a bigger display, better features and more functionality especially concering the Touch ID home button.

The iPhone 6 release date is slated on two dates according to rumors, on the September 15 and 19, and should be available in various markets worldwide.
