Clara's Grave Stone Spotted In Doctor Who Season 8 Finale Set Photos Alongside Amy And Rory: Cyberman And Jenna Coleman Appear For Series 8 Episode Filming

As "Doctor Who" season 8 prepares for its premiere in August, set photos from filming the finale has surfaced, with many familiar names written on stones.

According to Liam Reeds on Doctor Who TV, filming took place at the Box Cemetery in Lianelli for the season 8 finale episode titled "Death in Heaven." This is also the location used to film the final scene for Amy and Rory as they encountered the Weeping Angels in "The Angels take Manhattan."

From the set photos taken, we can see a grave stone for Clara Oswin Oswald, the incarnation who died in 1892. We also see Ellie Oswald's tombstone, who is Clara's mother. In addition, we also see the grave stone for Rory Williams and Amy Pond, who were Matt Smith's companions before Clara.

But what could be leading the "Doctor Who" season 8 finale back to such a scene?

"Don't forget there is a Guardian of the Nethersphere in this episode," commented RomseyKeith on DoctorWhoTV. "It could be a mental landscape like 'The Matrix' from 'The Deadly Assassin,' in which the collective graves of all previous assistants are there to taunt the Doctor."

From the set photos, we also see the Cybermen, which could explain Keith's theory regarding the "Doctor Who" season 8 finale.

"I love references to the past," wrote Seaborn Deadman. "Even though Amy and Rory are the relatively recent past...but still. Heritage is everything when it comes to Doctor Who, even just little references here and there."

"Doctor Who" season 8 returns Augsut 23, and it looks like the finale is going to be quite the cameo show.
