"NCIS" season 12 spoilers really hint at Cote de Pablo's Ziva David's return although there's no confirmation yet from producers of the show. At least, cast Ellie Wickerham is excited with the possibility of that happening.

Ellie Wickerham revealed some "NCIS" season 12 spoilers when she talked to DigitalSpy as she said that at some point, the background of her character Ellie Bishop will have to be given away.

When asked how much she knows about where her character is heading, she said: "You know, I know a little bit, there's a big collaboration over there and I'm excited to see where she goes, where they take her character," she said.

"I hope she will meet her husband, know a little bit about her background," she added.

When prodded for more "NCIS" season 12 spoilers about meeting her predecessor, she joked that Ziva David and Ellie Bishop together in the same room would be "scary," but she would like that to happen.

"Yeah, of course, I think it would be really fun," she said.

According to TVLine, who revealed some "NCIS" season 12 spoilers, the idea of Ziva David's return to the show was raised by executive producer Gary Galsberg who claimed that they are not opposed to the idea on one condition: that her coming back to the show will be organic to the story arc.

"A lot of people have approached me about the idea of not shutting the door entirely on [their staying in touch], and I'm not opposed to it," he said. "It has to be done in a way where it feels organic to the storytelling and we're not just throwing in lines about Ziva here and there."

He said that there's a way to do it such as if Tony is in a personal relationship or find himself in a situation when he has to wonder how Ziva will respond, "then maybe we can figure out a way to do it. It's a valid issue to bring up."
