Upcoming LG Phones 2014: The G Pro 2 Lite Will Be Known As LG Vista For Verizon, Could Be Launched Alongside G3 Flagship

There are already a number of upcoming LG phones for 2014 in several markets around the world, but only a chosen few have made its way in the US.

For Android and LG fans who are waiting for a new LG handset, the LG G3 will be officially available beginning July 16.

However, it looks like the Korean manufacturer's current flagship will not be alone when it hits the market.

According to a report by GSM Arena, another upcoming device is the LG G Pro 2 Lite, which is a midrange version of its high-end model which made its debut at the MWC in Barcelona in February.

In a tweet by notorious leakster EV Leaks, the device will be known as the LG Vista, and would be offered by Verizon.

If the G Pro 2 is a high-end phablet that packs a 5.9-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, quad-core CPU clocked at 2.26GHz, a Snapdragon 800 chipset, 3GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel primary shooter, the G Pro 2 Lite a.k.a. Vista should get slightly lower end specs.

Rumored specs for the upcoming device include a slightly lower resolution for the display, which could probably fall in the HD (1280 x 720) category, 2GB of RAM and underclocked quad-core CPU. The phone could run on a Snapdragon 400 as it is the more popular choice for midrangers today.

Other alleged specs include an 8-megapixel camera, LTE connectivity which should work well on Verizon's network, and Android 4.4 Kit Kat. The phone will naturally run with LG's own Android skin, Optimus UI.

Pricing details are also crucial for LG and Verizon if they want this phone to actually sell. If the LG Vista is priced too high, then people could just settle for cheaper midrangers in the market. Only a few can actually upgrade their preference to the LG G3.
