Finally, the official Kuroko's Basketball Season 3 release date has already been announced!

According to a post on Crunchy Roll, Kuroko's Basketball Season 3 release date is happening at some point in 2015. The official website of the anime series made an update for Kuroko's Basketball, showing a brand new teaser visual for the 3^rd season of the anime.

Moreover, a report on Fandompost noted that it is likely for Kuroko's Basketball Season 3 release date to be specifically set for spring season of 2015. Similar to the first 2 seasons of the basketball anime, the new season might be comprised of 25 new episodes, as well.

Kuroko's Basketball Season 1 aired in Japan from April to September 2012 while the second season was shown from October - April 2014. Kuroko's Basketball Season 1 and 2 were both under the Japanese anime studio, Production I.G., the company responsible for other popular anime series, "Ghost In the Shell" and "Haikyu!!"

According to Fandompost, below is the the premise for Kuroko's Basketball series:

"An up-and-coming power player, Taiga Kagami, is just back from America. When he comes to Seirin High School, he meets the super-ordinary boy, Tetsuya Kuroko. Kagami is shocked to find that Kuroko isn't good at basketball, in fact, he's bad! And he's so plain that he's impossible to see. But Kuroko's plainness lets him pass the ball around without the other team noticing him, and he's none other than the sixth member of the Miracle Generation."

As for related updates about Kuroko's Basketball, the final and the 9th volume of the second season of the anime will be released in Blu-Ray/DVD on September 24. Meanwhile, the 28th volume of the manga has been available since last Friday, July 4.
