2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions:Danny Granger To Join Former Nemesis Miami Heat? Josh McRoberts Also To Miami Believing LeBron James Will Be Their Teammate!

The 2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions will continue even though the top names will dally around. Pat Riley is a man of action now he moves to improve the team, with or without the Big Three. The question now is whether these guys are Big Three supporters or Big Three replacements.

Danny Granger plays LeBron James position at small forward and was a stern LeBron James rival before he went down with an injury that caused him to miss almost the entire season at Indiana. Obviously, he wasn't so happy about the Pacers' trading him at the deadline for Evan Turner as it seemed like Paul George had taken over the position.

The details of his deal from Yahoo Sports:

"Free-agent forward Danny Granger has reached agreement on a two-year, $4.2 million contract with the Miami Heat, league sources told Yahoo Sports on Monday. Granger will take the Heat's biannual exception of $2.1 million and hold a player option on the second year of the contract.

Granger, 31, played eight-plus seasons with the Indiana Pacers, where he was an Eastern Conference All-Star in 2009 before a trade to the Philadelphia 76ers in late February. After a contract buyout with the Sixers, Granger signed for the remainder of the season with the Los Angeles Clippers, where he averaged eight points and three rebounds while fighting a left hamstring injury."

Note that Granger's deal is only for two years but he can opt out after this season-is this an insurance policy in case LeBron doesn't return?

Meanwhile, Josh McRoberts is a power forward from Charlotte who came on the radar with his improved play. He was choosing between eight teams, but it boiled down to returning to Charlotte or going to Miami. ESPN was first to report on him:

"Sources told ESPN.com that McRoberts will receive a four-year deal worth an estimated $23 million -- the full midlevel exception -- which includes an option to return to free agency entering the fourth season.

"From Coach [Spoelstra] to [Heat executive] Andy Elisburg to Pat to ownership, they were all really excited about Josh," agent Mike Conley of BDA Sports said in a phone interview. "They all met with Josh, came out from day one with their offer and made it clear to us that Josh is who they want."

"It was probably the toughest decision he's ever had to make, but it could be a once-in-a-career opportunity for Josh to join a great team with a great player. They're looking at Josh coming in and being a major factor."

Note that McRoberts is playing Chris Bosh's natural power forward position, although he could play alongside Bosh if he returns. His contract is also for the long-term so Miami is invested in him whether the Big Three return or not.
