Miami Heat News: Pat Riley's Magic Slowly Working As Heat Signs Danny Granger And Josh McRoberts, Is It Enough To Lure LeBron Back?

Miami Heat news for the past few days are anxiously anticipating the complete departure of superstar LeBron James, and with him Chris Bosh may follow suit as James is reportedly the only person that is keeping him in Miami.

Last week, the Heat organization talked to some possible prospects such as free agents Pau Gasol from the Lakers, and Luol Deng who last played for Cleveland.

Unfortunately, no deals were made as both Gasol and Deng like to get higher pay, and close to their market price. This leaves all of Miami fans in doubt whether they have seen the last of their Big Three during this year's NBA Finals or not.

However, just today, reports came from Bleacher Report and ESPN stating that Heat president Pat Riley has already agreed to terms with former Indiana and Clippers standout Danny Granger in a 2-year $4.2million contract.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, Granger agreed to the deal with the hope of getting into the NBA Finals and possibly winning his first ever championship.

A former All-Star, Granger has been seen as the star play for Indiana, and during that time, Paul George was still his sidekick. But after a number of knee injuries which let him to miss more than 100 games, George assumed the scoring role for the Pacers, and became a bonafide superstar.

By the time Granger returned, he found no place in an already deep Indiana roster that focuses on defense rather than offense.

Aside from Granger, another interesting deal Riley completed is with former Bobcats forward Josh McRoberts, who agreed with a 4-year $23 million deal. Roberts is a stretch four that can distribute the ball well from the post. In fact, in the report by Bleacher Report, he is only the third person in the entire NBA who have played the four or five spot that is able to average at least 4 assists. The other two are Kevin Love and Joakim Noah.

With these two new acquisitions by the Heat, Miami instantly becomes a good ground for role players, provided that Granger stays healthy. The question now is whether LeBron would consider the two sign-ups as 'rebuilding'.
