Upcoming Sony Phones 2014: Japanese Maker Will Launch First Selfie-Focused Smartphone, Rumored Specs Incl. 5 Or 8MP Front Cam With LED Flash

Are you the type of person who loves taking pictures of yourself wherever you go? For sure, you use the rear camera more often because it has higher resolution than the one in front. Fortunately, Sony will soon end your troubles in taking selfies as one of the upcoming Sony phones for 2014 will reportedly be focused on selfies.

According to a report by GSM Arena, a new leak by leakster EV Leaks claims that the Japanese manufacturer is working on a selfie-oriented smartphone.

Dubbed as the Sony Xperia C3, the Android-powered device is set to be unveiled tomorrow. But as early as today we already see how it looks like, and like its other Xperia siblings - it is huge.

While the phone is rumored to get 'only' a 5-inch display, the one on the picture certainly look a lot bigger. We probably should give credit (or not) to the phone's massive top and bottom bezels.

In the report, the device is slated to get a high resolution camera in front, though nothing was made official yet. But based on previous releases by other manufacturers, it is safe to assume that the snapper would be around 5-8MP. There is also an LED flash so taking selfie shots can also be practical even in low-light conditions.

Other rumored specs of the device include HD (1280 x 720) resolution, a 2,500mAh battery, and a color option of black and turquoise.

Knowing Sony, the Xperia C3 would surely get a decent camera. Interestingly, there is no word yet regarding the resolution of the rear camera. Certainly, it would be higher than the front cam.

In the report, the device would be officially announced tomorrow, so stay tuned. We will make sure to bring you all the details, especially about pricing and availability of this Android handset.
