Idol group Super Junior has been nominated the "Best Asia Act" for this year's MTV Europe Music Awards.

Super Junior has been chosen for the Best Asia Act for this year's MTV EMA that will be held in Frankfurt on November 11.

The official website announced that Super Junior will be battling against Exile, Jolin Tsai, Yuna and former Super Junior member Han Geng.

MTV described Super Junior as, "The leaders of the Hallyu that has fans worldwide and is successful in their own entertainment fields aside from singing."

'World star' Psy has also been chosen to be on the list for the EMA's for the Best Video category. He will be going against singers such as Rihanna and Katy Perry.

Super Junior has recently released their sixth mini album, Sexy, Free and Single, which sold over 335,000 copies in the first month.
