Both Super Junior and Ex-Super Junior member, Han Geng, were nominated for 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards for the "Best Asia Act" category.

Han Geng beat out his competitors and took the title for the Best Asia Act category.

To qualify for representing the Asia Pacific area of the world, Han Geng must beat out, Goyte who became famous with his song "Somebody That I Used To Know"

Known as "the most influential male celebrity in China", Chinese Mando-pop singer and actor Han Geng is undoubtedly dominating Southeast Asia. In 2005, he debuted in South Korea as the only Chinese member of Super Junior & the leader of its Chinese squad SJ-M but eventually left to focus on a solo career in 2009. His 1st solo album sold over a million copies and tickets to his 1st concert sold out in a record-breaking 37 minutes."

Han Geng departed from Super Junior in back in December of 2009. He soon after began his solo career in China with his first album, Geng Xin.
