Dallas Mavericks - LA Clippers Rivalry In For The Long Haul; DeAndre Jordan Vs. Marc Cuban Continues

It looks like the animosity between the LA Clippers and the Dallas Mavericks is in for the long haul as Mavs owner Mark Cuban is obviously still hurting with DeAndre Jordan spurning his team.

Last Thursday night, the Mavericks and the Clippers faced each other for the first time this season and the tension was very visible.

The Mavs owner was asked by reporters what he thinks of the Clippers and here is his response.

"I just don't give a [expletive] about the Clippers," Cuban said before tip-off. "You can change the owner, you can change the players, but the Clippers are who they've been for the past 30 years."

Meanwhile, DeAndre Jordan was also asked about the situation and the center clearly doesn't want to talk about it anymore.

"I talked about that in July so if you guys want to go to YouTube and look at that and the press conference," Jordan said via Yahoo Sports. "But I will talk about anything that happened in the game tonight. We can talk about that."

Another person who was mainly involved in the fiasco is Dallas Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons. He was one of the biggest reasons why DJ considered signing with the Mavs.

"He was one of my really good friends, so when he told me something I took his word," said Parsons. "Just a little surprised, but he didn't do anything illegal."

Elbows were thrown as well as DJ accidentally hit Dirk in the face in the second quarter, while the German forward retaliated with a hard foul of his own.

"It's an NBA foul and it's an emotional game," Jordan said. "Nothing against Dirk at all."

Nowitzki, meanwhile said, "He hit me [with] an elbow, probably inadvertently. The next time down he got the rebound and I just tried to foul him. I tried not to let him dunk, but that's about it."

But one thing is for sure, when DeAndre Jordan comes to Dallas, he should expect some bashing from the crowd according to Chandler Parsons.

"The game in Dallas, the fans will probably get a little bit nuts and get into it," Parsons said.
