'Big Hero 6' Sequel Release Date Set In 2018? Baymax Reveals New Ability!

Perhaps the most popular animated film released last year, "Big Hero 6" is confirmed to have a sequel and its release date is also one of the most anticipated announcements by its avid fans.

For fans wondering when could be "Big Hero 6" sequel release date, Stan Lee told Toronto Sun that the film is set to hit movie screens after the release of "Guardians of the Galaxy 2."

"After 'Ant-Man,' we're going to start playing around with 'Doctor Strange,' 'The Black Panther,' 'The Inhumans,' and then we have to come back for 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2,' 'Big Hero 6,' 'The Avengers' and 'Captain America.'"

If that pattern is followed, fans can see a 2018 release.

Meanwhile, fans will be thrilled to know that Baymax will have more abilities to showcase in the sequel. In a report by USA Today, Baymax has hinted what new skills he will have in the "Big Hero 6" sequel.

During the interview, USA Today's Bryan Alexander asked Baymax, "I wanna know what kind of improvements are we gonna see, or have we seen in the new Baymax?"

Baymax replied, "I am always looking to upgrade. And Hero is constantly working to make me better. Currently, he is teaching me to laugh."

What else could fans possibly expect from the film? Enter Tadashi. Numerous rumors and speculations indicate that Hero's brother is actually alive since his body was not found after the accident.

"Tadashi. I'm calling it right now. He'll be a villain of sorts in the sequel, inevitably joining the team fully to add that number (after all, 'Big Hero 6 2' is just weird branding)," said Movie Pilot's Jon Negroni. "If there's no body, that character is alive." There was certainly a funeral for Tadashi, but no body to bury or cremate, as he (was assumed to have) died in a fire."
