"Tekken 7" PS4 release date is coming and reports suggest that the fighting game could potentially be released not only for the consoles or arcades, but also for the PlayStation VR, which was previously tagged as Project Morpheus.
According to a report from The Verge, games such as "Until Dawn," "Rigs: Mechanized Combat League," "Robinson: The Journey," "Battlezone," "Gran Turismo" and "Tekken 7" would be work on the PlayStation VR headset in the future.
The announcement was made during a Sony conference at the recently held Paris Games Week, a few weeks back.
Meanwhile, in line with the release date of the PS4 version of "Tekken 7," the game series is also expected to have its 20th anniversary in the gaming community.
Katsuhiro Harada said in a recent report by Event Hub how Bandai Namco expects to have a surprise for their fans once the game has been released.
"There are two main sides to Tekken 7," he said. "The first is to neatly tie up all of the storylines that have developed over the course of 20 years for the Tekken series. Since it's Tekken's 20th anniversary, story will play a big part this time around, which is why we wanted to tie things up and reach a conclusion. So in that sense, we hope to be able to wow and recapture the imagination of players who focus on characters and backstories in the games. This will take quite a bit of time to put together, but we have a couple of things in store."
Sony also announced in their PlayStation Blog that "Tekken 7" would have a PS4 release date by next year.
"Tekken is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the latest chapter in the historic series," the blog stated. "Continue the fight amongst the Mishima clan and its newest member: Kazumi Mishima. What secrets will be revealed within the Mishima clan? The epic conclusion will unfold in Tekken 7!"
