Ronda Rousey Have Thoughts Of Retirement After Holly Holm Fight? Fighter Is Devastated

Rumors say that the former undefeated UFC Women's Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey might consider retiring following her second round knock out defeat against Holly Holm at UFC 193.

According to a report by Hollywood Life, an unknown insider told the website that Rousey may consider retirement instead of a rematch because they said that her game plan didn't include her losing a match.

"As much as she wants a rematch, she also has told people that she might retire because the scenario of losing was never thought of at anytime and she has a lot of other things on her plate to achieve," the insider reportedly said.

However, after getting out of the hospital Ronda Rousey promised that she would get back in the octagon and confirmed that retirement is not in her mind right now.

According to a report by Inquirer Sports, the 12-1 UFC record holder talked about her defeat and thanked her fans for all the support she has been getting.

"I just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support. I appreciate the concerns about my health but I'm fine," Rousey revealed.

"As I had mentioned before, I'm going to take a little bit of time, but I'll be back."

On the other hand, away from the retirement rumors of Ronda Rousey, new women's champion Holly Holmes was excited and thankful for the support she has been getting as well.

"I can't even explain how blessed I am and how fortunate that I have such a great team that believes in me," she said, as reported by Bleacher Report. "You know, just walking out there...it's us anyway. We're the ones doing it. I'm the one that has to fight, and they're the ones that are giving me the advice, and that's what it comes down to."
