Pearl Jam Covers Eagles of Death Metal’s ‘I Want You So Hard (Boy's Bad News)’ On One-Week Anniversary Of Paris Terror Attacks

Pearl Jam paid tribute to the Eagles of Death Metal for the one-week anniversary of the Paris terrorist attacks.

Pearl Jam played "I Want You So Hard (Boy's Bad News)," the first single off of the Eagles Of Death Metal's second album "Death By Sexy," at their show in Belo Horizonte, Brazil in honor of the 89 people killed at the Eagles of Death Metal show a week earlier at the Bataclan. No members of the band were hurt in the attack but their merchandise manager Nick Alexander was killed.

"We've never played this one before," Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder said before the band launched into the song during its encore.

Songwriter Mark Yarm mentioned the Pearl Jam jam on his Everybody Loves Our Town Tumblr.

Pearl Jam reportedly almost played the song at their show on Tuesday.

Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam also covered the Beatles' song "Rain," John Lennon's "Imagine," Van Halen's "Eruption," Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb," Dead Boys' "Sonic Reducer," and Neil Young's "Rockin' In The Free World."

The disaster occurred in Minas Gerais on November 5. A dam collapsed at the waste reservoirs of an iron ore mine leaving 280,000 people without water and smothered thousands of fish, turtles and other animals. Environment Minister Izabella Teixeira said it was the worst environmental disaster in Brazilian history and that it will take 30 years to clean the basin of the Doce River.
