The "Legends of Tomorrow" finally got a definite release date which is on Jan. 21, 2016. The hype train surrounding this show just keeps getting bigger and bigger as this will be the first time in television history that there will be a TV series comprised by multiple superheroes as its cast.
However, with that much at hand, The CW is reportedly looking to leave the "Legends of Tomorrow" to one season only. According to Cinema Blend, the cost in making this show is just too expensive as the expenses was unforeseen.
Quoting the website: "While the creation of the first season of Legends of Tomorrow is underway, it has come out that the CW may have overextended themselves in regards to budget. It seems that the first season of the Legends of Tomorrow is more expensive than the network originally anticipated."
Although nothing is set in stone, The CW might just consider making a season 2 depending on the fan reception for season 1, which will likely blow the ratings to the roofs.
Meanwhile, AV Club reported that there is a chance John Constantine will be joining "Legends of Tomorrow." There is a possibility of this happening since the made an appearance on "Arrow" season 4 episode 5 in which he brought back Sara Lance's soul back to her body. The actress playing Sara Lance, Caity Loitz is also joining the roster of Legends and she will be the White Canary.
As of writing the team stands with eight members in The Atom, to be played by Brandon Routh, White Canary by Caity Lotz, Victor Garber and Franz Drameh as Firestorm, Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl, Falk Hentschel as Hawkman, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold and Dominic Purcell as Heatwave.
