It looks like the creators of "One-Punch Man," ONE, is looking to replicate the success of their "One Punch Man" anime adaptation as another of their popular series, "Mob Psycho 100" will also get an anime adaptation!
For those who are not quite familiar with the manga title, here's a synopsis courtesy of My Anime List.
"Kageyama Shigeo (a.k.a. 'Mob') is a 8th grader with psychic abilities. He could bend spoons and lift objects with his mind from a young age, but he slowly began to withhold from using his abilities in public due to the negative attention he kept receiving."
"Now, the only thing he wants is to become friends with a girl in his class, Tsubomi. With his psychic 'mentor' (who has no psychic powers), he continues his daily life, attempting to realize his purpose in life."
Fans over at the website also rated the series and as much as the story is fun, the awful art will be the only factor to hold it back. Perphaps, the anime will be a different story. Here's a review from Ace Cards.
"Story: 10 - The way that ONE can go to a simple and great gag manga to a story of epic proportions while still maintaining it's fun is simply amazing, it's a must read"
"Art: 2 - yeah a 5 year old can draw better than ONE, but it meshes quite well with the style of story, people that discovered this gem by reading only the redrawn version of 'One-Punch Man' can find the art off-putting."
"Character: 8 - They are quite original mostly, some stereotypes here or there played for laughs."
Lastly, here's what fans over at ANN has to say about the upcoming "Mob Psycho 100" anime adaptation. User Stark700 is ecstatic about the announcement and he said that it is definitely a must-watch when it airs next year.
"Can't wait to see this. It came close to a poll earlier this year but I'm glad to see it will get an anime anyways," he wrote.
