Marvel Releases Featurette For 'Captain America: Civil War'; Chadwick Boseman Talks Black Panther

Marvel releases "Captain America: Civil War" featurette as one of the bonuses included in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Two Collection on Blu-Ray.

Entertainment Weekly has released a preview of the featurette which includes several of the movie's cast members talking about their characters. One of the actors is Chadwick Boseman (Get On Up), who plays Black Panther a.k.a. T'Challa, prince of Wakanda in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"He's a monarch and at the same time he's this superhero but there's this certain mystery about the character," Boseman said of his character.

Despite theories that Black Panther will be on Iron Man's pro-registration team, Comic Book has confirmed that the African prince will remain neutral in the crossover film.

"Black Panther is, first of all, an amazing character," director Anthony Russo said in a statement during a panel at CCXP in Brazil. "We couldn't be more excited to bring him to the screen for the first time. He's very central to the story. He comes into the story early. What's great about Black Panther in this movie is, all the characters choose a side, Captain America's side or Iron Man's side. Black Panther never chooses a side."

Along with Boseman's Black Panther, "Civil War" stars Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Emily VanCamp as Agent Sharon Carter, Paul Bettany as Vision, Frank Grillo as Crossbones and William Hurt as General "Thunderbolt" Ross.

Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" will release on May 6, 2016. "Black Panther" arrives on Feb. 16, 2018.
