After leaving Konami this year, Hideo Kojima has once again set up his own production studio but is now affiliated with Sony, as the mastermind behind the "Metal Gear" series is now waiting for a potential PS4 exclusive game.
In a recent announcement, Sony confirmed their partnership with Kojima Productions and revealed how both parties are thrilled with the new agreement.
According to a report by IGN, the new partnership would introduce a new game, which is yet to be named, that would be a PS4 exclusive.
In an announcement by Hideo Kojima as posted by The Verge, the mind behind the game series "Metal Gear" and "Silent Hills" expressed his excitement, as he would embark on a different challenge that is expected to "push the boundaries in innovation and ignite consumer interest worldwide."
"I will be taking on a new challenge by establishing my own independent studio, and I am thrilled to be able to embark on this journey with PlayStation, who I have continued to work with all these past years," Kojima revealed in a statement that was reportedly released by Sony. "I cannot wait to deliver, with PlayStation, a game that will become a compelling franchise."
In addition to that, while Hideo Kojima is waiting for the PS4 exclusive game to be released, he went on his Twitter account and finally talked about his relationship with Konami.
"My employment contract with Konami has been terminated as of Dec 15th, so today marks a new start for me," he tweeted. "I'm committed to be involved in creative activities for as long as I live."
While the PS4 exclusive game is waiting to be announced, the official website of Hideo Kojima's studio, Kojima Productions revealed that they are now looking for people who could help them with their future work, as they post a long list of job offerings.
"The studio will begin focusing its efforts in developing products that will push the boundaries in innovation and ignite consumer interest worldwide."
