Dave Matthews Band To Release A New Album In 2016? Singer Reveals Recording Plans

Dave Matthews Band singer revealed that they are planning for a new album release soon and that they have been contemplating on which tracks would they choose to record an include in the record.

According to a recent statement by the singer, which was reported by Music Mic, Matthews revealed how he has been working really hard the past months, compiling a handful of songs that could fit in a few records.

"I go on a lot of tangents, so I've been doing some writing, and I certainly could fill the space of several albums with music that I've made," he said while writing new materials for the Dave Matthews Band album. "But I haven't yet fallen in love with the whole thing. I'm in love with parts of it."

Furthermore, he also revealed how he plans on including unreleased materials on the record, which they have been playing in front of a live audience for quite some time.

The South African-born singer shared his thoughts about their fans probably learning about their new songs, which they have bee performing on stage.

"We've always let people record our music, so probably they'll end up getting some of it anyway if they just tape the shows or we put some live releases out," he explained. "But at some point, we'll have an album that we'll put out for whatever reason people still do that."

Furthermore, the singer also talked about the new album of Dave Matthews Band in a Rolling Stone interview, revealing how they plan on trying something different on the record that could potentially surprise their fans.

"I've been in the studio trying to get a couple of things ready for the band to go back in, having fun," the singer said. "I'm just trying to come up with something that doesn't sound like the past."
