Red Hot Chili Peppers New Album On Its Way; Anthony Kiedis Reveals Details About Record

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are working on a new album and members Anthony Kiedis and Chad Smith revealed that the group is working on something different on their upcoming record.

According to a recent report from Rolling Stone, Kiedis revealed how the new record from RHCP contains songs that have a different feel compared to their previous records noticing how "great" the songs are now compared to the previous releases.

With all the excitement they have right now, the singer expressed in an interview his frustrations during shows, citing how they couldn't play new songs live, as they try to avoid leaks of new songs.

"The torture about doing this [show] is that we've been writing new music for the last year, and we've written some songs that I feel are as good as any songs we've ever written. We're just dying to play the new songs - but we can't, because every single human has a recording device on them at all times."

Furthermore, while the Red Hot Chili Peppers are working on a new album, Rock On The Range co-producer Gary Spivack revealed how Flea and the rest of the group are expected to headline the festival in 2016.

"Everything has been turned up a notch to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Rock On The Range," said Spivack, which was reported by Loud Wire. "From headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers, to the reunion of fan favorites Disturbed, to the welcomed return of Vinnie Paul and his band Hellyeah to the state of Ohio for the first time in over a decade, and countless others, it's paramount that we continue to raise the bar so Rock On The Range remains the elite rock festival in America. We feel we've accomplished this goal and then some."

The new album from the Red Hot Chili Peppers is expected to come out in 2016.
