Julie Anne San Jose On Her Way To Becoming Asia’s Pop Sweetheart With New Remix Featuring Singaporean Heartthrob Richard Jansen [VIDEO]

Julie Anne San Jose, AKA JAPS, dropped a new remix of her pop hit "Tidal Wave" that features Singaporean heartthrob R&B/Hip-Hop artist Richard Jansen.

"Tidal Wave" comes off the Filipino singer, songwriter and actress's EP "Forever," which was released last winter. The song hit the pop charts as the actress/performer gears up for her U.S. launch in the summer of 2016.

Jansen has performed live with artists such as Scola of Multi- Platinum Group Dru Hill and Akon.

Julie Anne Peñaflorida San Jose, is known as JAPS to her followers, who call themselves Julienatics. The 21-year old performer, actress, product endorser, composer, and recording artist had her first TV experience upon joining Eat Bulaga's Little Miss Philippines when she was three years old. She entered the business of show when she joined the singing competition Popstar Kids in 2005 which led her to part of Sugarpop, the show's spin-off children singing group. The group released two studio albums, Sugar Pop and Sugar Pop Repackaged and had a show on QTV 11 entitled Planet Q.

With upcoming shows in Las Vegas, California and New York, Julie Anne San Jose, known for her daring covers of artists such as Justin Bieber, Sia and Adele is breaking out of her traditional ballad soul singing style and recording tracks with today's best in EDM, Hip-Hop and R&B.

Julie Anne was re-cast into the replacement show Party Pilipinas as a solo artist. She has done 5 short films for the Red Mask series 1 and 2, and starred in Party Pilipinas musicals - Blue Jeans The Musical, Elmo and Julie Anne: A Wazak Love Story, and Status: It's Complicated.

In April 2011, Julie Anne started to do UStreams, a webcast where she performs songs based on the theme. Her viral video Superbass, now with 16 million views, is from one of her UStreams.

In August 2012, she released her self-titled debut album which later on received numerous awards and is now a certified diamond record. Her single, "I'll Be There" remains the only single certified double platinum, triple platinum and quadruple platinum by the Philippine Association of the Recording Industry (PARI).

Julie Anne played the lead female role, Toyang, in the weekly teen oriented show Together Forever. In 2013 she played a lead role in the primetime show Kahit Nasaan Ka Man where she played a blind character named Pauline who later on underwent an operation and was able to see.

Julie Anne had her first major concert at the Mall Of Asia Arena in 2014.

Julie Anne also released her second solo Deeper in 2014.

Currently, Julie Anne plays the part of Darling Buena in the GMA7 drama show Buena Familia. She also plays a recurring role in the sitcom Pepito Manolo where she plays the role of Nikki. She's also a regular performer in the weekly variety show Sunday PinaSaya and is hosting a GMA News TV show, Day Off.

Filipino born Hollywood witch Marie Bargas predicts good things for Julie Anne San Jose, though she doesn't quite believe the singer will have to weather a perfect storm.
