Microsoft Surface Pro 5 To Make Way For Surface Phone Launch? Details Here

It seems that Microsoft is truly focusing its efforts in releasing the Surface Phone this year as a new report reveals that the launch of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be delayed consequent of preparations for the launch of Surface Phone.

In its report, Yibada said that Microsoft is delaying the launch of its Surface Pro 5 to 2017 as it concentrates on its much-talked about Surface Phone. The report said that Microsoft "does not want the hybrid to steal the spotlight from the Surface Phone."

The Surface Pro, Microsoft's brand for its hybrid laptops and tablets, have proved to be successful and this year, the company looks like they are eager to also transcend its success in Surface Pro to the smartphone industry by releasing its flagship handset, the Microsoft Surface Phone, which according to reports will boast of amazing specs and features.

As highlighted by International Business Times in its report, the Microsoft Surface Phone is said to be "as powerful as any modern day computer."

According to the report, the new flagship handset from Microsoft will have a unibody design made with an aluminum and magnesium combination. The screen will be 5.5-inch with AMOLED display, which is said to be capable of producing a 1440 x 2560 pixel screen resolution.

One of the notable features of Microsoft devices, especially the Lumia phones, is its camera that has reaped recognition from its excellent features. For the Surface Phone, reports indicate that it will sport a 21-megapixel PureView rear lens and an 8-megapixel Zeiss Wide angle lens.

What fascinates most users, however, are the massive internal specs of the upcoming Surface Phone. First, it will be sporting 4 GB and 6 Gb of RAM paired with Atom x3 processor. Earlier reports indicate that it will come in variants of 64 GB or 128 GB internal storage but recent updates revealed that it may go as much as 256 GB to 500 GB, which the report said would be a "game changer."
