Apple MacBook Pro 2016 Specs And Features Update: Ultra-Thin, Ultra-Portable MacBook Pro Unveiled?

Rumors about Apple developing thinner laptops continue to circulate, suggesting that the tech titan will be pulling off thinner 13-inch and 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro as it did with the 12-inch Retina MacBook last year.

In its report, BGR said that as the world was amazed with Apple's feat in revealing an incredibly thin, all-metal 12-inch Retina MacBook last year, it is set to do the same advancement in bigger laptops and unveil an ultra-thin and ultra-portable 13-inch and 15-inch laptops, which may include the Air or Pro lineups.

BGR published a concept imagery by the famous graphic designer Martin Hajek, who imagined how a 15-inch ultra-slim, ultra-portable MacBook Pro would look like. In his concept imagery, Hajek borrowed the design lines and angles from the 12-inch Retina MacBook, the body color from iPhone's rose gold shade and the port arrangement like that of the existing 5-inch MacBook Pro.

The renders also showed the new laptops replacing all ports with multipurpose USB-C ports. The USB-C ports is one of the most common specs among the rumored specs and features of the upcoming MacBook Pro. The USB-C ports, according to reports, would result to faster charging and faster data transfer for the laptop.

International Business Times, in its report, also said that more ports are expected of the new MacBook Pro lineup.

"The 12-inch MacBook of last year features only a single USB-Type C slot that can handle multiple tasks, from charging to connecting peripheral devices, with users forced to make use of an adapter for USB Type-C port to take advantage of multiple ports," IB Times wrote.

It added, "The newer MacBooks are expected to feature more USB-C Type ports or an additional adapter so that users can add multiple devices. Both new MacBook Pro models are also expected to feature Thunderbolt 3, which produces data transfer speeds of up to 40 GB/s."

Hajek, however, kept the SD card slot and the 3.5mm headphone jack in his design render of the new 15-inch MacBook Pro.
