Young actress Kim Sae-Ron finalized her agreement with YG Entertainment this week. Following the final agreement, she has also signed the contract with the agency to join YG Entertainment.
Kim was previously managed by Fantagio since her debut in 2009. After her contract with Fantagio ended last month, she decided to find new agency after seven years with the agency.
Rumor about her joining YG Entertainment has been spread as reported by News 1. However, last week on Nov. 8 YG Entertainment issued a statement that they have not signed Kim into the agency yet.
YG is the legitimate and reasonable target for Kim to join in, because the agency is famous for managing great actors and actresses. Recently, Kang Dong-Won, actress Choi Ji-woo, Yoo In-Na and the acclaimed actor Jang Hyun-Sung are managed by YG. Child actress Kal So-Won, who made a memorable performance in “Miracle in Cell No.7” in 2013 also in YG Entertainment.
The deal between the 16-year old actress which was represented by her guardian and YG were finalized this Monday Nov.14 as reported by Hanguk Ilbo. This agreement will bring the actress to be able to learn from many seniors in the agency.
YG Entertainment was founded in 1996 by the former member of first-generation K-pop group Seo Taiji and Boys, Yang Hyun-Suk, nicknamed Yang-Gun. He established the agency with his brother Yang Min-Suk. The name of the agency was an abbreviation of Hyun-Suk nickname.
Kim debuted in 2009 in the movie “A Brand New Life” when she was 9 years old. She played an orphan girl who struggle in the orphanage after her father left her. Subsequently, she was adopted by a French parent.
A year later, Kim made a breakout role in the action movie “The Man from Nowhere” with Won-Bin. The film was recorded as the highest grossing film in Korea with 6.2 million viewers and 47.1 billion won (USD 47 million) revenue. Recently she just graduated from Yang-il Middle School and is continuing her studies in the School of Performing Arts Seoul.
