Actor Kang Ha-Neul made a cameo appearance in the “Entourage” Episode 5, while celebrity couple So Yi-Hyun and In Gyo-Jin also appear in Episode 6. The abundance of cameo appearances from Korean celebrities is expected to lift the show's ratings.
However, the ratings of “Entourage” is still below one percent, according to report from Yonhap News Agency. As the most anticipated drama which has broken the records in Korean brodcasting history, the very low rating is totally unexpected.
The ratings of cable channel TV program such as “Entourage” is different than that of the public TV. The number of audience for cable channel program is relatively four times less than the public television. Therefore, ratings below 1 percent is very low.
"Entourage has the abundance of cameo appearance by Korean celebrities. But it did not help to boost the ratings. The episode 5 has the appearance of Kang Ha-Neul as himself that has a past relationship with So-Hee.
Kang’s appearance, according to Seoul Daily News, brings a story to a new intense level. It is because So-Hee is the one that Young-Bin has a crush on.
In the drama, Kang is an actor who has a stiff competition with Young-Bin to get the role in the new movie “War Terminator” and Young-Bin’s agent Eun-Gab tried hard to put Young-Bin in the leading role after a flop in his previous movie.
Young-Bin finally landed a role in the movie “War Terminator” due to the Eun-Gab powerful lobbying skill. Meanwhile another celebrity who made a cameo appearance in the “Entourage” Episode 5 is actor Kim Ki-Bang.
In order to attract older viewers, “Entourage” Episode 6 re-enacted the wedding between celebrity couple So Yi-Hyun and In Gyo-Jin. The actual wedding between So and In was conducted on Oct. 4, 2014. They both have a daughter Ha-Eun which appear in the “Return of Superman” KBS variety show.
