The hit Korean drama series, "Goblin," has recently aired its last episode with impressive ratings. The K-drama first aired in Dec. 2, 2016 and topbilled by Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook and Kim Go Eun. The combination of fantasy, drama, romance and comedy was a perfect hit among the viewers, leaving fans of "Goblin" asking for more.
Initially, there were speculations that the network might be considering extending the finale of "Goblin" because of the constant surge of the ratings. The said speculations became stronger when episode 14 of "Goblin" was postponed and instead replaced with a special episode. However, all the "Goblin" extension speculations died down when the series finally ended on Jan. 21, 2016.
The happy ending of "Goblin" was well-received by the viewers, most especially because they were worried that it would end on a tragic note. The ending of "Goblin" highlighted the reincarnation of the characters and a lot of viewers took to social media to express their feelings about the finale.
Now that "Goblin" is already over and done with, fans of "Train To Busan" lead star, Gong Yoo, are wondering what's next for the 37-year old actor.Will there be a new drama series in the making? Or will he take it slow and take a short break from the limelight?
According to Koreaboo, Gong Yoo shared his thoughts on the newly concluded Kdrama in a recent interview. "It's my first drama in a long time, I took a long time to decide on it. I promised to show everything I could. Thank you for loving me so much," he said.
As of writing, Gong Yoo's agency has yet to announce the next projects set for the "Coffee Prince" actor. Meanwhile, for the the fans who are still having separation anxiety with "Goblin," Soompi reports that special episodes are set to air on Feb. 3 and 4.
